What you can do.

If you are looking for work

Browse job offers
The Offering tab shows the hourly pay and how it is paid (Cash, Tax, Cash + Tax or ABN), the job type and the requirements on every card. A dot on the tab tells you jobs were posted today.
Filter like a shift worker
19 industries, shift time from early morning to late night, exact start and finish hours, job type, payment type, work days, and practical tags: Student, PR, No Exp Needed, Immediate Start, Sponsorship, Car Required, Police Check, WWCC, White Card and RSA.
Sort by pay
Pay high to low, or low to high. There is no pay-range filter; sorting is how you find the best rate.
Know what you need before you apply
What you must already hold (a car, Police Check, WWCC, White Card, RSA) is listed apart from what is offered (no experience needed, immediate start, training, sponsorship).
Apply by SMS in one tap
The Message button opens your SMS app with an application already written, naming the role, the company and the suburb.
Check ABN pay before you say yes
Jobs paid on an ABN link to the ABN or TFN explainer, which shows what you give up and the rate you would need to match an employee.
Post that you are looking
List the roles you want, your skills and experience, your visa status, the certifications you hold and the languages you speak, each with a level. Employers can find you and contact you first.
Save, share and hear about new jobs
Save jobs to Favourites, share them, and get an in-app notification when a new job is posted.

If you are hiring

Post a job
Pick the industry and role, then add the company, address, hourly pay and payment type, job type, work days, shift and hours, and the experience, visa and certification details. It is live straight away.
Browse people looking for work
Filter job seekers by the roles they want, the certifications they hold and their visa status, and contact them by Message, WhatsApp or Call.
See who applied and book interviews
Everyone who taps Message on your job is logged in My Appointments. Propose an interview time there, and they confirm it.
Mark it filled
Mark as filled hides the job straight away. You can reopen it if the hire falls through.
Feature it, if you want to
Put a job ad at the top of a suburb for 7 days with a Featured badge. Prices start from a few dollars a week and are shown before you pay.

Inside Jobs, screen by screen.

Each screen is rebuilt from the Chaana app. Scroll, and the phone follows along.

Pay first, and how it is paid beside it.

The hourly pay gets its own line, with Cash, Tax, Cash + Tax or ABN next to it, because they mean very different take-home pay. Job type and any requirements sit underneath.

  • Pay per hour
  • Cash, Tax, Cash + Tax or ABN
  • Casual, part-time, full-time
  • Requirements on the card

The filters shift workers actually need.

Nineteen industries, shift time, exact start and finish hours, job type, payment type, work days, and tags like No Exp Needed, Sponsorship, Car Required, Police Check, WWCC, White Card and RSA. Sort by pay either way.

  • 19 industries
  • Shift time and exact hours
  • Work days
  • Sort by pay

What you must have, apart from what you get.

Requirements are one per row: a car, Police Check, WWCC, White Card, RSA. What is offered (no experience needed, immediate start, training, sponsorship) is listed separately. Apply with one Message button.

  • Pay and payment type
  • Shift hours and work days
  • Requirements
  • What is offered

No real employer asks you to pay to start.

The safety note before you apply says so. On a job paid on an ABN it adds what that means: no super, no leave, no workers compensation, and your own tax, with a link to the calculator.

  • Fee warnings
  • Below-minimum-wage warning
  • ABN notice, every time

What an ABN rate needs to be, worked out.

Enter the rate and hours. The explainer adds up the super, annual leave and sick leave you would give up, and the ABN rate that makes up for them.

  • 12% super
  • 4 weeks annual leave
  • 10 days sick leave
  • Six-question contractor check

A page written for the person hiring.

Roles wanted, job type, experience and visa status. Then skills in their own words, the certifications they already hold, and the languages they speak with a level.

  • Roles and visa status
  • Certifications held
  • Languages, with a level
  • Message, WhatsApp or Call

Post a role with the details people would ask for.

Industry and role, company and address, pay and payment type, job type, work days, shift time and exact hours, then experience, visa and certification details. It is live as soon as you post.

  • Pay and payment type
  • Work days and hours
  • Certifications required

How it works.

  4. Open a job and check the pay, how it is paid and the requirements.
  5. If it is paid on an ABN, open "What ABN pay means for you" first.
  6. Tap Message, read the short safety note, and send the application your SMS app opens with.
  7. If the employer proposes an interview, confirm it in My Appointments.

What you get.

  • Pay you can compare

Pay is a number with the payment method beside it, because cash, tax, cash + tax and ABN mean very different take-home pay.

  • Filters built for shift work

Shift time, exact hours, work days and certifications, so you only see jobs that fit around study or a second job.

  • Employers can find you

A looking-for-work post puts your roles, visa status, certifications and languages in front of people hiring.

  • ABN pay, worked out

A plain-language calculator and a six-question employee check, one tap from any ABN job.

  • Warnings where scams happen

Fee and below-minimum-wage warnings appear when you apply, not after.

How you are protected.

The safety rules and limits, stated plainly.

  • "Never pay money upfront for a job. Verify the employer before sharing documents." sits at the top of the Jobs board.

  • Before you apply, a note reminds you that a real employer never asks you to pay before you start: no fees for training, insurance, keys or uniforms. It becomes "Take extra care" when the account is under 7 days old, the ad mentions fees or money-transfer methods, or the pay is under $20 an hour, below the legal minimum wage.

  • Jobs paid on an ABN always show an extra notice: no superannuation, no leave, no workers compensation, and you pay your own tax.

  • Job seekers only ever show their suburb. Their post includes a "Watch out for job scams" sheet: no genuine employer will ask you for money, bank details or ID documents before hiring you.

  • Three safety reports hide a job automatically until the Chaana team reviews it.

  • Job ads hide after 30 days, and each person can post up to 3 jobs a day.

  • While a job is Featured, and for 24 hours after, its suburb cannot be changed, and changes to the title, industry or pay are logged.

Questions people ask.

How do I find Nepali jobs in Australia on Chaana?

Open the Jobs tab in the Chaana app, set your suburb or state, and filter by industry, shift time, job type, payment type and work days. You can also post "Looking for work" so employers in the community can contact you.

Is it free to post a job?

Yes. Posting a job ad or a looking-for-work post is free. Employers can choose to pay to feature a job ad for 7 days, and the price is shown before they pay.

How do I apply for a job on Chaana?

Tap Message on the job. Your phone's SMS app opens with an application already written, naming the role, company and suburb.

How long does a job ad stay up?

30 days, or until you mark it filled.

What do Cash, Tax, Cash + Tax and ABN mean on a job?

They are how the employer says you will be paid. ABN means you are paid as a contractor, with no super, leave or workers compensation, and you pay your own tax; the ABN or TFN explainer shows what that costs you.

What should I do if an employer asks me to pay?

Do not pay. A real employer never asks you to pay before you start, for training, insurance, keys or uniforms. Report the job with the reason "Asking for money upfront".

Can I find workers on Chaana?

Yes. The Looking tab lists job seekers with the roles they want, their visa status, certifications and languages, and you can contact them by Message, WhatsApp or Call.
