Finding an event
- Six categories
- Cultural, Music & Dance, Food & Drink, Sports, Community and Workshops.
- Near you
- Scope the list to your suburb, your state or all of Australia, and switch on Past Events to look back.
- The event page
- Date, time, the venue (tap for directions), the price or FREE, who organised it, what it is about, and the businesses sponsoring it.
- Book Now
- Opens the organiser's booking link, where you buy tickets directly from them.
- Add to Calendar
- Where the event has a calendar link, save it to your phone's calendar.
- Contact the organiser
- Message, Call or WhatsApp, with the message already written, when the event has an organiser phone. Today that means events posted from the web dashboard.
- Share it
- Send the event to friends through your phone's share sheet.
Posting an event
- Everything in one form
- Title, category, date, start time, venue with suburb search, state, description, price (leave it blank for FREE) and a booking link.
- Photos and sponsors
- Up to 6 photos, and sponsors chosen from businesses already in the Chaana directory, linked from your event.
- From the app or the web
- Post from the app, or from Events on the web dashboard, which also lets you add an organiser name and phone.

- Choose a category and set your suburb, state or all of Australia.
- Open an event to see the date, time, venue and price.
- Tap Book Now or Add to Calendar, or share it with a friend.
How to post an event
- Add an event from the app, or from Events on the web dashboard.
- Enter the title, category, date and start time.
- Choose the venue and state, and write the description.
- Add the price, or leave it blank for a free event, and a booking link if you have one.
- Add up to 6 photos and any sponsors from the directory, then post.

Where can I find Nepali community events in Australia?
In the Chaana app, open Events from the Home screen. Filter by category and set your suburb, your state or all of Australia.
Is it free to post an event on Chaana?
Yes. Any member can post an event for free, from the app or the web dashboard.
Can I buy tickets through Chaana?
No. If the organiser added a booking link, Book Now opens it, and you pay the organiser directly.
Can I RSVP to an event on Chaana?
No. Chaana does not take RSVPs. Use the organiser's booking link, add the event to your calendar, or contact the organiser if they gave a phone number.
Are events listed on the Chaana website?
No. Events are listed in the app for signed-in members. You can post an event from the web dashboard.
