In the app

Nepali home businesses, from home-cooked food to sari tailoring, in the Chaana app.

Gharelu is the Chaana app's section for Nepali businesses run from home: home-cooked food and tiffin, momo and sweets, cakes and baking, tailoring and alterations such as sari blouses and kurtas, mehndi and beauty, events and decor, and priest and astrology services. It is separate from the Business Directory. In the app you can search it, switch between the list and the map, and open a business to save it to Favourites, call from the card or start a chat. Gharelu lives only in the app; its listings are not shown on this website.

Questions people ask.

What does Gharelu mean?

Gharelu is the app's own name for its home-businesses section. It covers Nepali businesses run from home, such as home-cooked food, tiffin, momo and sweets, cakes, sari and kurta tailoring, mehndi, decor and priest services.

Is Gharelu the same as the Business Directory?

No. The Business Directory lists Nepali-owned and Nepali-friendly businesses across Australia. Gharelu is a separate section just for businesses run from home.

Can I see Gharelu on this website?

No. Gharelu listings are hidden from the website and only show inside the Chaana app. Open the app and tap the Gharelu tile on the Home screen.

How do I contact a home business?

Open the business in the app and start a chat; your first message can come from a short menu of ready-made questions. You can also tap the call button on its card.

Does Gharelu cost anything?

Browsing is free. Posting follows your plan: free accounts have a daily limit and paid plans allow more. The plans are compared on the pricing page.
